Print Mixing
The minute the weather starts to warm up I start rummaging through my closet for items of clothing to wear that do not include black or navy. I feel compelled to start wearing bright, happy clothing which may or may not include a fun print.

The Pant Set
This week I bring you the "pant set" not to be confused with "pajama set" which may look similar but, in reality, is quite different. Both can be matching, both may have an elastic waist, and both are very comfortable.

The Footbed Sandal Edit
I was standing in line at the grocery in Miami recently, doing what most people do while waiting to check out, observing the fashionably dressed women ahead of me in the checkout line.

The Graphic Tee
I was recently in a very cool store in the Wynwood section of Miami called Lulu Laboratorium and was instantly attracted to this very cute, very different kind of graphic tee. The designers cut the tee down the middle of the front and back of the top, and added some chains to connect it back together.

5 Spring/Summer 2023 Trends
The start of a new season always gets me excited to add new pieces to my wardrobe. February is a great time to start looking for new styles to add for Spring/Summer. I was recently planning my own trip away to the Bahamas, and then to Miami for an extended vacation, and I needed to plan what I will be wearing.

The Coat Edit
Typically when I think about wearing a long overcoat I think about a dressy outfit with a pair of high heels or boots. The overcoat is my go-to if I'm trying to complete my more formal look with a suit or a dress, or if I'm going somewhere that requires a proper outerwear garment like a party or a fancy event.

The Bustier
Recently I was looking through my closet for something new to wear for an evening event when I stumbled upon this very cute, strapless bustier from With Jean . I wanted to wear something I could easily strip down to in case there was dancing involved and the indoor temperature required removing layers, but also looks great under a shrunken cardigan. The bustier certainly fit the bill AND I could wear it with my faux leather pants.

The Snow Boot Edit
It's January, and while we haven't seen much snow in the Northeast just yet, it's still a good idea to be prepared.

Sweater Weather
I love warm weather and if you had asked me 10 years ago what my favorite season is I would have, without hesitation, responded "Summer!" . These days I'm not so sure. As I've gotten older I appreciate the change of seasons so much more. I love the Fall with it's changing leaves and crisp weather. I enjoy the Spring where I'm thinking about the first bloom of flowers and looking forward to my first bike ride of the season.

The Crossbody Bag
The crossbody bag has become the new essential. While I love a great tote and how it lets me channel my inner Mary Poppins, crossbody bags are convenient and stylish. The key to an "updated" crossbody bag is to make sure the bag hits right at hip level and not lower. This will make you appear as chic as you want to be without dating you.

The Closet Edit
I once read that the condition of your wallet says a lot about you. The premise goes, if your wallet is neat and organized, with all the items in the right compartments, you're most likely good with managing your money. You know how much you're spending, you pay your bills on time and you probably balance your checkbook to the penny. Now with digital wallets, I'm not quite sure how to spot a financially responsible person!

Holiday Dressing
There are 3 main categories one falls into when a major holiday rolls around. 1. You are the one hosting and having people over, 2. you are going to someone's house, or 3. you're going to a restaurant or venue.

Keep It Casual
I love a stylish outfit. I also like to be comfortable. Sometimes I want to be both stylish and comfortable! These days it's altogether possible to accomplish both AT THE SAME TIME.

The Best Boots For Denim
When I'm fitting a client, I'm looking for the outfit to have right proportions. I want to make sure the the top, the pants, the shoes and any accessories strike the right balance. The whole outfit should work together and each piece should compliment each other to create an updated, modern look.

The Denim Edit
Trends will come and go but certain styles shift the evolution of a trend to one that has staying power for years, if not decades. Allow me to introduce you to the loose fit denim.

The Slip Dress
What single piece of clothing can you wear to a black tie event, can be worn with a blazer, or paired with sneakers, worn with boots, can easily go from day to night, and comfortable enough to wear to bed? Ok, I already gave away the answer! But seriously, the slip dress can do all that and more.

The Loafer Edit
Footwear trends are always evolving. The heel shape, the toe shape, feminine vs. masculine. And we have the classics - the sneaker, the ballet flat, the plain pump. Now you can add the loafer to your collection of footwear classics. Walk this way as I introduce you to the new staple style!

The Blazer
Fall is here and the weather is getting cooler. While sweaters are an obvious option for handling the drop in temperature, you may want to consider the blazer as an easy add to update your current look. The blazer has been on the scene for quite some time and its popularity continues to grow. It has officially become a great basic to add to your wardrobe for any season. In fact, many of the top designers for Spring/Summer 2023 continued to include a blazer in their runway looks.
