The Coat Edit
Typically when I think about wearing a long overcoat I think about a dressy outfit with a pair of high heels or boots. The overcoat is my go-to if I'm trying to complete my more formal look with a suit or a dress, or if I'm going somewhere that requires a proper outerwear garment like a party or a fancy event. But these days the overcoat is having a moment and it doesn't have to be strictly for fancy occasions. In fact, the overcoat is being worn over every outfit from very dressy to very casual. The overcoat gives an instant lift to a laid back look, while keeping you warm.
I love the look of a great neutral coat with a casual outfit. Be it a sweatsuit or a top and trousers, or denim. Bonus if the coat is super long.
