A Full Circle Fashion Moment

As a personal stylist, I’m always looking for designers who strike the perfect balance between edge and chic—those who create timeless, statement-worthy pieces that make my clients feel confident and effortlessly put together. One such designer who has always caught my eye is Yigal Azrouël.

My First Encounter with Yigal Azrouël

Nearly a decade ago, I had the opportunity to meet Yigal while buying for my boutique. His designs stood out instantly—sophisticated, architectural, and undeniably cool. His main collection was beyond my budget at the time, but I couldn’t pass up his contemporary line, Cut 25, which had the same modern sensibility at a more accessible price point. Even then, I admired how his pieces had a way of making a woman look strong, confident, and effortlessly chic.

A Visit to His New Grand Street Studio

Fast forward to today, and Yigal has opened a new studio on Grand Street. Naturally, I had to stop by to see what he’s been working on, and this time, I brought my daughter along for the experience. To my surprise, Yigal himself was there, and he graciously took the time to show us his latest collection.

Let me just say—his designs are as stunning as ever. He continues to craft one-of-a-kind pieces that exude both edge and sophistication. From his beautifully structured tailoring to his luxe leather pieces, everything felt fresh, modern, and exciting. His ability to merge bold design with effortless wearability is what makes him such a standout in the industry.

Timeless Style & Continued Influence

It’s always inspiring to see a designer evolve while staying true to their vision. Recently, Melissa Wood Tepperberg was spotted wearing his gorgeous designs, and it’s a testament to how his aesthetic remains both relevant and coveted. His work isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about creating pieces that make a statement without feeling overdone.

Why Yigal Azrouël is a Designer to Watch

For those who appreciate luxury with an edge, Yigal is a designer worth keeping on your radar. His collections embody the kind of effortless cool that so many of my clients crave—refined yet a little unexpected. Whether it’s a tailored jacket with sculptural details, a buttery leather piece that feels like a second skin, or a dress that drapes in all the right places, his designs truly elevate a wardrobe.

If you’re in New York City, I highly recommend visiting his new studio to see his work firsthand. It’s a reminder that fashion, at its best, is an art form—one that continues to inspire, evolve, and make us feel amazing.
